I live closest to the Troutdale Airport (TTD) and have the most availability if at that location. I am willing to travel to other airports in the greater Portland/Vancouver area as needed. (HIO, 7S3, UAO, MMV, VUO) Please call with any questions regarding scheduling.

My Story
With an upraised fist, I shouted "Yes!" before starting my "Before Landing Checklist" as I exhilarated in my first solo flight. No less proud an accomplishment was the first time I got to take my parents up flying. Teaching my fiancé, now wife of 11 years, how to control the plane was pure joy. The nerves of sending my first student solo and then for their first check rides still make my heart beat harder. These are but some of my fond memories of this aviation journey I began in 2006.

I have had the honor of working with hundreds of pilots over the last 9 years as a flight instructor and now chief flight instructor with Hillsboro Aero Academy. I have been privileged to work and fly with pilots from all over the world and open the secrets to flight in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

As a Designated Pilot Examiner since 2019, I have the privilege of working with pilots to achieve their own "Yes!" moments. My goal is to help you get past the nerves of each exam and experience the satisfaction of completing your next pilot rating!

Cancellations
Sometimes circumstances beyond our control prevent us from being able to proceed with a check ride as planned. If we are unable to complete a check ride on the date scheduled, I will work with you to reschedule at the earliest available opportunity.

If weather on the day of the check ride is unsuitable to completing your check ride, please contact me a minimum of one hour prior to the beginning of our appointment.
​
No refunds or reimbursements will be given for check rides that are discontinued however I will reschedule you as soon as possible to complete your check ride.
